hello world of vox! a lot has happened since my last update. here are a few photos from the past few weeks. one of my absolute best friends in the world moved to thailand for a year and i was pretty sad about that. the last few weeks he was here, we crammed in so many hang out sessions to make up for the time he'll be gone. another best friend of mine and i went to disneyland this past weekend to hang out with my relatives from new jersey. it was a lot of fun. beerfest in monterey was also on the agenda. i've also been reading a lot to pass the time. anyway,

hello world.
because of the ability to cross-post, i decided to start up my vox again after months of not updating. i liked livejournal way too much to desert it. hehe. anyway, i'm back ! let's see how this goes...
this weekend was both busy and fun despite some minor problems in the system. on thursday afternoon, i drove to san jose because it was chady's birthday. that night, we hung out along with his cousin, melissa and their friend, jason. we had pizza from little caesar's and some wine i bought for chad. we tried the fresno state one and it is incredibly watered-down which brings me to never support fresno state wine again.. good thing it was free. : ) hm, what else ? that night, chad and i went to pick up iano from gilroy and came back to the apartment to chill. we all hung out and messed around on guitar/drums/etc.
we woke up late on friday and ate at university chicken, then ian drove back to salinas while chad, melissa, and i lounged around the apartment. the three of us watched Across the Universe before we went to D&B's for chad's bday thingie. since the three of us were already at the great mall movie theatre, it was a quick trip to get to d&b's but when we got there, we had a little trouble getting jason in since they changed the rules so that any under-aged person needed to be accompanied by anyone over thirty (hella old to be at a place like that, ha !) and that person needed to have the under-ager with them at all times apparently. we didnt think we were going to run into that problem because the age used to be 25 and older to get minors in. lameee. it kinda ruined things because as soon as melissa and jason met up with us, a security guard caught them and made them find their party (which was kind of hilarious because they' were let in by a group of biker folks...) lol. chad and i grabbed a few drinks while they were with the security people. melissa and jason were escorted around by the security person and they circled the place a few times before we just ended up waiting for everyone outside. while we waited outside for everyone, they added a cover charge of 5$ per person and it became strictly 21+, so we ended up just taking it to chad and melissa's place where everyone drank instead. i had to fight chester for chad's bed but ended up sleeping in the living room cos ches is hella stubborn. melissa, jason, and i watched the science of sleep, but i ended up falling asleep while they watched.
there was a bit of drama on saturday morning. i ended up driving to salinas because there wasn't enough room in the other car, so i drove ches, b, and ches' sister home. i went home to say hello to my parents, then to chad's to use the internet. afterwards, i then met with my family for dinner at red lobster for my mom's birthday and afterwards, went home and slept so i could wake up at 330am to drive to fresno and make it to work at 7am. which reminds me, i hate the smell of fresno air. after work i napped, and now here i am.
there's not much going on now, but i think i might start the soldering thing so i can make some sweet, sweet jewelry. : )
sidenote: i am incredibly addicted to Across the Universe. it was a really cool movie/musical.
i know i haven't posted in such a long time--i've been so busy ! i've only really had time for updates in one journal, which is my livejournal. anyway, feel free to add me and i'll definitely add you back ! : ) hope all is well.

oh i updated ! sorry for the lackkk.
this week is the perfect definition of hell for me. exams, projects, and papers have been occupying most of my time, and on top of that, other things have been falling between the cracks. i'm beyond frustrated and i just want to curl up in a ball and die. just sometimes, you know.
my head hurts; i think my brain is fried.

p.s., the best thing that happened this week was that my english notebook was found. i lead a thrilling life, really.
i've decided that apa format is not my friend. who knew that apa format only allows one space between punctuation marks to allow for space ? i like two. also, i couldn't sleep, so i tried to work on my midterm essay questions. other than contemplating the questions and completing an appropriate title page, all i did during my sleeping gap was was fill out a myspace survey and bake sugar cookies.
i think i drove off this afternoon with my english notebook atop my car roof. i'm guessing it flew off and landed somewhere in parking lot A, for it is nowhere to be found. :(
i made this little apple character on adobe illustrator out of boredom. maybe i will put it on a shirt.
